Reversing from exploited division to creative and healthy solidarity will need to be the mantra and guiding principle going forward if we the people are to take back our economy.
I remember reading the book How Music Works by David Byrne, that he discusses how certain bars, notably the one that gave Talking Heads their first shows (CBGB's) the owner created that community feeling (for rockers 1973-2006) that you are referencing, such that bands would stick around after their own shows to hear the other music instead of just going home after. Originals only allowed. Kept drink minimums low, fostered creating 'the scene' that truly spawned a lot of bands and music that followed. I do recommend the book, (How Music Works) as Byrne writes well and clearly as you might expect.
